Was in today with my brother whom I haven't seen for 2 years or more. Excellent service. Spotlessly clean . Great food . Highly recommend. Will definitely use more often to support my local community

Picante Cafe is outstanding! The Cafe looks small from outside but when you walk in it's very large. It's still cosy and I like a private table in a corner & there's usually a choice. EVERYTHING is absolutely spotless & clean - there's NO sticky tables here! The family who own it are delightful & it was a pleasure to meet them & chat with them. The young man who serves us is their son and he is extremely polite and very professional. Thank you Antoine. I hope I remembered your name correctly. My Carer's not here so I can't ask him! I'll be back to correct it if I've got it wrong. The coffee is delicious. The food is cooked to perfection! We will be returning frequently. I don't cook so my Carer makes sure I go out to eat regularly. It's incredible to find such a perfect place for me to have a cooked meal. Delicious! The menu offers an extremely wide selection of food. I will try to take some photos of the menu. Extremely reasonable prices. JUST BRILLIANT! Thank you.
Absolutely Love going to Cafe Picante if ever in Alness. The food is always good. The chips are really tasty and freshly made. The Paninis are lovely and probably one of my favourite things to get in there Absolutely Love the omelettes as well. The cheesecake I got was disappointing though as have had better cheesecakes from supermarkets apart from that I really enjoy Cafe Picante. For main meals and everything l've had so far l'd give a 5 out of 5 stars however the cheesecake i would only give 1 out of 5 as had better cheesecakes elsewhere and the cheesecake is 4 a slice so definitely wouldn't buy again. So main meal food really good dessert wise not so much. Helpful staff as even when busy staff do help and get round to you. I will be returning though and it is a good place to eat and handy for when you're in Alness as it's a good spot where it's situated.
Update: I've now been a regular weekly visitor for three years and I still think of each visit as a once-a-week treat. My father and I always look forward to the excellent breakfast, prepared exactly as we like it by the cook. We visit different local cafes six days a week, Picante is definitely our favourite. The layout of this cafe is open and easily accessible for anyone with a wheelchair, a rare element in the surrounding area. The cafe is very clean and bright and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. From five or six visits I have yet to find fault with the food on offer, everything has been just as I requested. There is no phone signal on the EE network inside but the owners do provide free WiFi. I can definitely recommend this cafe, particularly for a good old fashioned breakfast.
A wonderful breakfast. Hot, tasty and good value. Only one member of service staff on but everything turned up as fast as you could want. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in the area.
